Beautiful eggs

These eggs are in our front yard at Green Lake. The kildeer (sp) will hop off and pretend to have a broken wing to act as prey so us (the bad guys) will stay away from her eggs and get her instead.

Little Canoe Ride

So apparently I am not allowed to steer when going canoeing with Gary ever again. Ruddering is elementary and if I don't want to learn the correct and efficient way of canoeing, I better stick to the front of the canoe.

Intense games up at Green Lake

It was a wild night of Connect Four and Puzzles.

Annika update

Our whole family went up to Green Lake this weekend and we all got a lot of quality time with Annika. She didn't cry once and just laughed and smiled the whole time. I'm assuming all kids are like this?!

One year later...

Standing under the arbour where we exchanged our vows, this is us one year later and 25lbs heavier (with good reason:))

32 week ultrasound

We had an ultrasound today to re-check the kidneys. It looks like all is well but we will find out from the doctor in 1.5 weeks. This is the baby's face looking at us....cute eh? Chubby cheeks already...apparently this baby is on the bigger side, almost 6lbs already?! We got to see the heart chambers and re-checked the sex of the baby to make sure it was still what we were told! Baby Chapman would like to say `Happy Birthday Auntie Karen! I'm excited that you might all be down here when I'm born!'.

Two announcements

Sorry, no picture today. I just want to say two things;
1. Gary and I had our last day of school today!! We still have exams, report cards, grad etc..but the teaching part is done. I celebrated by swimming. Gary celebrated by playing Starcraft. We are wild.
2. I lost my belly button this week.

Gary practicing

Gary finally got to meet Bennett Rehman this week (Gary makes the baby look so small!). It's been awesome to see Sam and Torie in the parental roles. Also, nice to be able to ask tons of questions about what its really like...only 9 more weeks for us!

Annika and her baby cousin

Annika was giving her little baby cousin high fives (although in utero...baby was responding). These two will be in the same grade...kinda strange but fun! By the way, if you are thinking of getting a belly button ring, please note the huge red mark above my belly button...it scars and stretches during pregnany (just a little warning:))
